About the Role
Impact Kids is seeking experienced individuals to teach arts & crafts classes and camps. The ideal candidate is a passionate artist with a high energy, positive approach, and a genuine desire to impact young children's lives through art, creativity, and self-expression.
Responsibilities
- Supervise students and provide specific instruction.
- Ensure a safe and fun learning environment.
- Serve as a positive role model for students.
- Provide daily arts & crafts instruction to students aged 4-14 with varying abilities.
- Engage children positively and encourage creative thinking through hands-on projects.
- Promote and stimulate interest and participation in art.
- Manage inventory, ordering, and maintenance of art supplies and equipment.
- Organize and prepare daily plans in a fun and creative manner.
- Utilize effective classroom management skills to lead activities and foster an inclusive environment.
- Collaborate with fellow Activity Specialists on daily responsibilities.
- Adhere to the Impact Kids Code of Conduct, Core Values, and company policies.
Requirements
- Must possess a high energy, positive approach.
- Must have a genuine desire to impact young children's lives through art, creativity, and self-expression.
- Must be an artist with considerable skill and passionate about teaching.
- Must provide constructive criticism.
- Must implement company curriculum.
- Must be a team player.
- Must demonstrate outstanding communication skills with children and parents.
- Must possess clear, concise, and grammatically correct written and oral language skills.
- A child abuse clearance and criminal checks are required.
- Willingness to travel.
- Ability to respond to emergency situations requiring running and climbing stairs.
- Good physical condition to execute all responsibilities.
