About the Role

The NWSL Content team is seeking a Video Editor with a passion for women's soccer and experience in creative social content and storytelling. This role involves producing engaging short-form video content for various digital platforms in a fast-paced environment, celebrating impactful stories across the League, Clubs, and Players.

Responsibilities

  • Edit engaging video content for distribution across NWSL digital platforms.
  • Produce and edit a high volume of sponsored video content on weekly deadlines and tight turnarounds.
  • Concept, edit, and publish weekly dynamic video content to capture timely moments and league storylines.
  • Partner closely with the Content team to brainstorm, craft, and execute compelling video concepts.
  • Subclip weekly footage and assist with organizing and archiving projects and raw video assets.
  • Maintain availability for matchnight coverage and real-time content needs throughout the season.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience producing and editing high-engagement digital video content (soccer experience preferred).
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Suite.
  • Light proficiency in After Effects or motion graphics preferred.
  • Strong understanding of social video formats, storytelling techniques, and optimizing for platform-specific best practices.
  • General knowledge of music, licensing, and footage clearance processes.
  • Comfort receiving and implementing editorial feedback efficiently under tight deadlines.
  • A link to a video editing reel or portfolio showcasing relevant work is required.
  • Thrives operating autonomously in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while maintaining composure and attention to detail.
