About the Role
The Channel Manager, IT role is responsible for scaling and managing a high-performing ecosystem of partners who are transforming how Canadian businesses connect, collaborate, and thrive. This role drives sales performance across the CPDI portfolio, develops executive-level partner relationships, and ensures an exceptional end-customer experience.
Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new channel partners to expand market reach.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing partners to ensure continuous growth and collaboration.
- Assess and select partners based on strategic alignment and potential for mutual benefit.
- Implement channel policies and procedures to ensure consistency and compliance.
- Align CPDI engagement with the broader Eaton family.
- Drive sales through channel partners by designing and implementing effective sales strategies.
- Monitor and analyze sales performance to identify areas for improvement and growth.
- Collaborate with partners to develop joint marketing initiatives and promotional activities.
- Ensure channel partners are adequately trained and equipped to sell the company’s products.
- Work effectively with product management and regional sales teams to ensure alignment and progression to goals.
- Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscape.
- Develop strategies to address market needs and capitalize on emerging opportunities.
- Provide insights and recommendations to senior management based on market analysis.
- Align channel strategies with overall business objectives and sector-specific goals.
- Build strong alliance partnerships with noncompeting vendors to establish joint collaboration.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of the company’s products, services, and organization particularly in the IT sector.
- Leverage CPDI sales teams to provide support and guidance to channel partners and their customers.
- Ensure partners have access to the necessary resources and information to effectively promote and sell products.
- Track and report on channel performance metrics, including sales, revenue, and partner engagement.
- Regularly update senior management on channel activities and progress.
- Identify and address performance gaps to improve channel effectiveness.
- Implement and maintain systems for tracking inventory levels, turnover rates, and stock availability.
- Collaborate with supply chain teams to forecast demand and manage stock levels effectively.
- Manage and approve pricing tool delivery, multipliers, and rebate claims.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of work experience within the IT sector working with indirect sales models (Channel Partners, Value Added Resellers, and Distributors).
- Possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted driver’s license requiring ~25% travel nationally and US.
- Must have a valid passport for occasional travel outside of Canada.
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship.

- Knowledge of campaign design and go-to-market execution within indirect sales channels.
- Technical knowledge of Electrical and IT products and services.
- Proven track record of success in indirect sales models, partner economics, and channel performance metrics.

Salary/Compensations
- $132,000 - $165,000 per year including bonus
