About the Role
The Brooklyn Improv is looking for outgoing and energetic Food and Drink Runners to join the team. We strive to create a memorable experience for all patrons, so top-notch customer service is a must.
Responsibilities
- Partner with bartenders, servers, and anyone else to ensure service stations are set-up, maintained, and broken down correctly.
- Make sure anyone who is ordering alcohol is old enough to legally partake.
- Expo food, drinks, and other items as indicated by the ticket (usually all at the same time).
- Listen to guest needs and quickly obtain what is needed.
- Be attentive to whether a guest needs to find transportation home due to alcohol intake and inform appropriate members of management.
- Maintain the showroom and clear as needed.
- Give suggestions on how to enhance service whenever a breakdown is identified.
Requirements
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment with a focus on teamwork!
- Friendly, outgoing, and excellent communication skills!
- Ability to work flexible hours, especially nights, weekends, and holidays.
- High school diploma, or equivalent work experience.
- 1 or more years of experience in restaurants or clubs.
- ServSafe Food Handler and TIPS or LEAD Certificate ensuring compliance with any county or state requirements.
- Consistently demonstrate a professional appearance and demeanor.
- Can stand and or walk for an 8-10-hour shift.
