About the Role
Seeking a solid Construction Project Manager to oversee assigned land-based projects through all construction phases. This position reports to the Senior Manager of Construction.
Responsibilities
- Negotiate and/or support the process of negotiating contracts, subcontracts, and purchase orders.
- Maintain and regularly produce reports utilizing Project Management Software and Microsoft Office programs.
- Establish, update, and communicate the Master Project Schedule and manage its implementation.
- Hold external vendors/contractors responsible for delays and cost overruns from the project schedule.
- Attend scheduled weekly progress meetings and other internal project/program meetings, tracking progress and risks.
- Promote RCI's involvement in the community to help build strategic relationships and embrace local communities.
- Foster and enhance architect, contractor, subcontractor, and vendor relations.
- Lead and manage a broad range of activities associated with design, pre-construction, construction, and closeout.
- Manage budget and financial reporting, interpret, and analyze reports to ensure adherence to project budget.
- Manage the Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) program.
- Lead efforts to analyze risk and define schedule-related issues, including analysis of long lead materials or equipment that may impact project schedule & forecast variance.
- Serve as the primary contact for project status.
- Provide leadership in risk evaluation, contract negotiations, fee, and pricing decisions.
- Lead change management processes by updating logs, routing source documents to vendors, obtaining pricing, developing estimates and proposals.
- Participate in the design and execution of destinations within the Product Development-Private Destinations team.
- Support a clear short and long-term roadmap and effectively project manage complex timelines and deliverables.
- Work closely with key stakeholders from various departments to adapt and evolve the strategy for delivering a flawless product at private destinations.
- Lead product development process for global regions Private Destinations while working closely with the Project Team on concept development, programming, and accurate execution of concepts to maximize innovation and authenticity.
- Guarantee product specifications created enable a desirable and viable product for future guests.
- Create presentations showcasing construction milestones to share recommendations with senior management.
- Perform other duties as required.
- Employees will be required to perform any other job-related duties assigned by their supervisor or management.
Requirements
- Over 50% International Travel required.
- Relocation to construction site may be required.
- Demonstrate high standard of persona, accountability, and integrity.

- Experience with commercial projects (retail, restaurant, hospitality).
- Ability to work regularly on an active construction site and move safely across outdoor, uneven and undeveloped terrain.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods while undertaking site inspections, monitoring construction activities and coordinating with contractors and project stakeholders.
- Ability to undertake regular site movement that may involve climbing stairs or access points, bending, crouching and navigating construction areas.
- Ability to perform duties outdoors in hot and humid tropical conditions.
- Ability to carry or move work equipment, and other items reasonably required to perform site-based duties.
- Visual and auditory capability sufficient to observe construction activities, review site conditions and communicate effectively in an active construction environment.
- Regular work outdoors in a tropical, hot and humid environment, with temperatures over 30°C.
- Working within an active construction environment where conditions may include dust, noise, uneven ground and exposure to the elements.
- Working at a developing project site where access to established infrastructure and amenities may be limited.
- Regular movement throughout construction areas and exposure to changing site conditions as the project progresses.
- Requirement to comply with all applicable site safety procedures and wear prescribed PPE while undertaking site activities.
- The position requires a high degree of adaptability and comfort working in a remote, developing site environment where conditions and facilities may differ significantly from a conventional office environment.
Skills
- Demonstrated basic knowledge of building materials, detailing, construction techniques, building systems selection, related engineering principles, sustainability strategies and building codes.
- Able to multitask, prioritize and manage time efficiently.
- Able to analyze structural, architectural, MEP and civil drawings.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Accurate and precise attention to detail and highly organized.
- Able to analyze problems and strategize for better solutions.
- Solid understanding of the construction industry.
- Self-motivated and self-directed.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational skills, ability to self-direct, strong background in mission critical projects, engineering, controls, operational requirements, and an emphasis on project/construction management.
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel), Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar project management software.
- Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
