About the Role

As the Regional Engineer for NSW on a long-term Defence contract, you will be the primary engineering contact, supporting asset performance, maintenance, and improvement initiatives for critical fuel infrastructure. This role focuses on solving operational problems, building relationships, and driving better outcomes through engineering investigations, root cause analysis, and technical solution assessments. You will also develop business cases and present improvement initiatives to the client, offering opportunities for growth and career progression within UGL's Defence business.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the key engineering contact for the region.
  • Support asset performance, maintenance activities, and improvement initiatives.
  • Lead engineering investigations.
  • Conduct root cause analysis.
  • Develop scope of work.
  • Review technical solutions.
  • Assess risk.
  • Identify opportunities to improve asset management and maintenance.
  • Develop business cases for improvement initiatives.
  • Present improvement initiatives directly to the client.

Requirements

  • Degree qualification in Mechanical, Chemical, Process, Electrical or related Engineering discipline.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Experience in project engineering, operations engineering or asset management environments.
  • Ability to work across multiple teams and manage competing priorities.
  • Experience within Defence, oil & gas, fuels, petrochemical, water or similar industries.
  • Australian Citizenship and ability to pass a police check.
