About the Role
Green Mountain Electric Supply is seeking a Full-Time Cable Solutions Team Member for their Kirkwood, NY branch. This role involves all aspects of wire management, including receiving, cutting, shipping, inventory, and organization, while supporting the company's growth and culture.
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of wire management, including receiving, cutting, shipping, and inventory.
- Organize the wire room and perform other duties related to product movement.
- Engage in hands-on exploration of new opportunities and collaborate with the team.
- Monitor and solicit feedback to identify improvement opportunities.
- Support GMES' strategic growth plan and company culture.
- Respool wire and cable for customer orders accurately and efficiently, minimizing scrap.
- Operate wire cutting equipment safely and effectively.
- Utilize appropriate tools for cutting wire.
- Maintain clean and organized work stations.
- Wear appropriate PPE, including safety glasses and steel-toe shoes/boots.
- Collaborate with the team to develop new ideas, designs, and business models.
- Contribute to team effort and results.
- Work independently and within a team.
- Identify continuous improvement opportunities and develop plans.
- Develop knowledge through on-the-job training, technical publications, and workshops.
