About the Role

Drive growth in active accounts and reaffirm Stellar’s position as the leading blockchain for payments. Integrate RWA and Defi opportunities into your book of business, focusing on building Stellar’s payments and stablecoin ecosystem, growing wallets globally, and entering new verticals.

Responsibilities

Execute and refine the Payments Strategy to drive Monthly Active Account volume on Stellar, including B2B2B and B2B2C payouts and commerce, Global Marketplace, Payment Service Providers, and Neobanks.
Develop and execute against a priority target list.
Manage key strategic relationships with key accounts.
Conduct business development for expanding DeFi, increasing monthly addresses, and driving asset tokenization in coordination with partnership leads.
Surface opportunities based on Stellar’s needs and assist in closing deals brought by other BD members and SDF.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Business or a related field.
8+ years of relevant experience in business development, with significant experience in global payment processing, fintech, or blockchain/crypto.
Existing relationships within the Enterprise, Fintech, Payments, and Crypto ecosystem, with a focus on payments, RWA, and decentralized finance.
Strong understanding of crypto payment systems, including experience with cryptocurrency exchanges, blockchain technology, and digital asset payments.
Technically proficient with a deep understanding of payment flow of funds and how blockchain can enhance them, focusing on global and local payments across different regions.
Proven ability to independently develop, structure/negotiate, and close opportunities.
Experience in developing and executing go-to-market strategies, identifying new business opportunities, and managing complex sales cycles.
Experience working with Enterprises, financial institutions, crypto companies, payment providers, or fintech startups.
Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with senior-level professionals.
Sound judgment, poise in professional settings, and self-awareness.
Self-starter with an entrepreneurial drive.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and negotiate high-stakes deals.
Ability to travel as needed and represent Stellar at regional/global meetings and conferences.
