About the Role
Impact Kids is seeking experienced and versatile individuals to teach and instruct youth sports, including soccer, basketball, volleyball, and cross country. The ideal candidate will have a high energy, positive approach and a genuine desire to impact young children's lives through sports. Experience coaching multiple sports is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Supervise students, providing sport-specific coaching and instruction across multiple programs.
- Create a safe and fun learning environment, serving as a positive role model.
- Provide daily instruction/coaching in soccer, basketball, volleyball, and running/cross country to students aged 4-14.
- Demonstrate sport skills and tactics, explain principles, observe performance, and provide feedback.
- Adapt drills, games, and equipment for different age groups and ability levels.
- Promote sportsmanship, teamwork, physical fitness, and confidence.
- Transition smoothly between sports, schools, and program schedules.
- Supervise student groups, managing behavior, health, safety, security, and development.
- Ensure the safety of students and team members.
- Organize and prepare daily plans in a fun and creative manner.
- Utilize effective classroom management skills to lead activities and create an inclusive environment.
- Collaborate with fellow Activity Specialists on daily responsibilities.
- Adhere to the Impact Kids Code of Conduct and company policies.
- Exhibit Impact Kids Core Values at all times.
Requirements
- Must possess a high energy, positive approach with a genuine desire to impact young children’s lives through sports.
- Must be an athlete with considerable skill in at least one sport, a solid working knowledge of the fundamentals of several others, and a passion for coaching.
- Must provide constructive feedback, implement company curriculum, and be a team player.
- Must demonstrate outstanding communication skills with children and their parents.
- Must possess clear, concise, and grammatically correct written and oral language skills.
- A fingerprint-based criminal background check (Live Scan) is required.
- Child abuse clearance is required.
- Mandated reporter training is required.
- Current CPR/First Aid certification is required.
- Willing to travel between schools and program sites.
- Ability to demonstrate skills across multiple sports.
- Ability to respond to emergency situations that may require running and climbing stairs.
- Good physical condition enabling execution of all responsibilities.

Experience Level
- Minimum of 2 years of previous experience working with children (e.g., academic/athletic tutoring, camp counselor, youth volunteer).
- 1-5 years minimum of youth sports coaching or physical education instruction experience.
- Experience coaching more than one sport preferred.

- Bachelor’s degree (preferred but not required)
