About the Role
ISS Guckenheimer is seeking a dedicated individual to prepare and serve a variety of beverages and food items, ensuring a welcoming and positive experience for all guests. This role is crucial in maintaining high standards of service and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve hot or cold beverages, such as coffee, espresso drinks, blended coffees, and teas.
- Serve ready-to-eat foods including pastries, muffins, biscotti, bagels, sandwiches, and salads.
- Provide outstanding hospitality with a caring and happy attitude.
- Support the Supervisor with inventory counts.
- Maintain cleaning schedules and checklists for shifts.
- Ensure baristas adhere to drink recipes and provide accurate orders.
- Maintain proper order-taking processes according to allergen guidance.
- Set up all necessary equipment.
- Clean and sanitize work and service areas.
- Prepare stations to execute guest service and satisfaction.
- Order, receive, and stock supplies or retail products.
- Operate cash register and familiarize with self-service kiosks.
- Maintain product inventory to established levels.
- Restock and rotate products accurately.
- Greet and serve customers with a smile, making them feel welcome.
- Complete necessary HACCP procedures for safe temperature control.
- Display merchandise attractively.
- Weigh, grind, and pack coffee beans for customers.
- Stock, clean, and organize coolers attractively.
- Label and display signs for all items.
- Follow all safety rules and actively prevent accidents.
- Train and support new staff during their transition.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must have a passion for customer service.
- Always maintain a positive attitude.
- Be dependable and reliable.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Knowledge of equipment cleanliness and good working order.
- Ability to remain calm under busy working conditions.
- Arrive on time to all shifts.
- Wear proper uniform, including non-slip shoes and a name tag.
- Maintain a professional appearance.
- Do not be afraid to ask for help.
- Build respectful relationships with all teammates and guests.
- Willingness to take directions from the Chef, Front of the House Manager, and Catering Manager.
- Build relationships with delivery vendors.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 25 pounds.
- Must be able to stand for periods of 7 hours.
- Must be able to work under pressure during peak periods of the day.
- Must offer outstanding hospitality for their entire shift.
- Adhere to Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) policies and procedures.
- Actively participate in HSEQ training.
- Report any potential hazards or compliance concerns.
