About the Role
We are seeking an energetic, confident, and engaging Event Host / Emcee to facilitate career exposure events, workshops, and professional panels for students. You will bring the experience to life, welcome participants, keep the program moving, ask engaging questions, and create a comfortable environment for student participation. Events can be in-person or virtual, with potential for paid travel.
Responsibilities
- Host career exposure events featuring professionals from leading global companies.
- Facilitate panels, workshops, student activities, and Q&A sessions.
- Introduce speakers and guide conversations with corporate professionals.
- Engage students and encourage participation throughout the experience.
- Bring energy, warmth, professionalism, and personality to every event.
- Attend rehearsals and training sessions before events.
- Learn and deliver structured event scripts and workshop materials.
- Adapt delivery based on the audience and event environment.
- Collaborate with the team to continuously improve workshops and student experiences.
- Provide feedback after events to help strengthen future programming.
Requirements
- Confident and engaging public speaker.
- Comfortable speaking in front of students and corporate professionals.
- Personable, energetic, adaptable, and professional.
- Able to make people feel comfortable and encourage participation.
- Comfortable following a structured program while still showing personality.
- Organized, responsive, and dependable.
- Comfortable receiving coaching and incorporating feedback.
- Passionate about helping students access career opportunities.
- Comfortable working with students and professionals from a wide range of backgrounds and perspectives.
- Available for flexible, part-time event assignments.
- Experience as an event host, emcee, actor, presenter, educator, workshop facilitator, public speaker, brand ambassador, or youth program leader is a plus.
