About the Role
We are seeking a Maitre d' to manage waitlists and reservations, optimize table assignments, and ensure a welcoming first impression for our guests. This role is crucial in assisting with the daily operations of the dining room, ensuring smooth seating arrangements and efficient table turnover in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Deliver a polished, professional, and welcoming first impression
- Manage waitlists and reservations to ensure accurate quoting and guest expectations
- Optimize table assignments based on pacing, server sections, and turn times
- Communicate real-time door management updates to restaurant leadership
- Assist in the daily operations of the dining room, including seating arrangements, reservations, and table turnover
- Monitor and manage table rotations to optimize seating capacity and minimize wait times
Requirements
- 2 years of experience in a high-volume, full-service restaurant
- Prior experience as a lead host or maître d'
- Exemplify the highest standards of honesty and integrity
- Highly confident in abilities and detail-oriented
- Team player with excellent communication skills
- Genuinely get joy out of making people happy and are able to have fun while working
- Love and passion for the hospitality industry
- Strong interpersonal and guest service skills
- Excellent communication and conflict resolution abilities
- High level of organization and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment
