About the Role
Concorde Education seeks enthusiastic professionals with backgrounds in science, STEM, education, engineering, or related fields to provide instructional services for K-12 hands-on science enrichment programs. These programs use everyday materials to make science approachable and exciting, encouraging curiosity, creativity, and lifelong learning.
Responsibilities
- Provide instructional services for K-12 hands-on science enrichment programs.
- Introduce students to scientific concepts through fun, interactive experiments and activities.
- Make science approachable and exciting for students.
- Encourage students to experiment, ask questions, make predictions, and discover scientific connections.
- Lead hands-on experiments and activities in an organized manner.
- Explain the science behind experiments.
- Encourage students to ask questions, make predictions, and explore ideas.
- Maintain appropriate classroom and activity safety.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Communicate professionally with students, school personnel, and Concorde Education.
- Arrive prepared and reliably fulfill accepted instructional assignments.
Requirements
- Backgrounds in science, STEM, education, engineering, laboratory sciences, environmental science, or other related fields.
- Ability to make scientific concepts fun, understandable, and engaging for students.
- Ability to maintain appropriate classroom and activity safety.
- Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Ability to communicate professionally with students, school personnel, and Concorde Education.
- Ability to arrive prepared and reliably fulfill accepted instructional assignments.
- Prior K-12 teaching experience is helpful but not required for every assignment.
- Relevant professional, academic, scientific, or instructional experience may be considered.
