About the Role
The Videographer/Social Content Editor is responsible for producing high-quality, engaging content across various social media platforms, encompassing all aspects of video production from concept to completion. This role focuses on cinematic brand visuals and industry storytelling, collaborating with broadcast teams and ensuring content aligns with marketing strategies. The position involves working closely with the racing community to capture the essence of the sport and contributing to the brand’s digital presence, while also driving production for cross-channel betting content.
Responsibilities
- Develop creative video content tailored for social media, online, and broadcast platforms.
- Execute all aspects of video production, including shooting, lighting, and editing.
- Lead videography of key dates and signature races.
- Take ownership of key video projects for wagering brand and betting segments.
- Lead production and execution of weekly content and betting segments.
- Collaborate with the content team to create engaging and shareable video content.
- Liaise with external broadcast teams to coordinate logistics and technical requirements.
- Help develop and execute social-first video campaigns aligned with marketing strategies.
- Support video campaigns, collaborating with internal teams and external partners.
- Spearhead the organization, archiving, and retrieval of video assets using CAT DV.
- Manage video assets on Nearline servers and maintain accurate metadata.
Requirements
- Operate and maintain professional video equipment, including Sony cinema cameras (FX3, FX6).
- Demonstrate strong proficiency in video editing using Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects).
- Utilize lighting and camera techniques to capture dynamic shots.
- Optimize video content for various platforms (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube).
- Troubleshoot technical issues on set.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and new technologies.
- 5+ years of experience in social media content creation, video production, or a similar role.
- Advanced Drone Pilot’s License with knowledge of regulations and operating skills.
- Strong understanding of social media trends, platform algorithms, and best practices for video content.
- Strong knowledge of lighting techniques, camera movements, and framing.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms, including emerging trends and best practices.
- Comfortable working with content calendars and managing content schedules.
- Highly organized, able to juggle multiple projects and deadlines.
- Flexible and reactive to changing priorities.
- Ability to develop strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently when needed.
- Highly creative with a strong eye for video aesthetics and narrative storytelling.
- Ability to think outside the box and develop fresh, engaging content.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams and with external partners.
- Deep understanding of best practices and standards for National Television Broadcasts.
