About the Role
Woodycrest Apartments is seeking a dedicated Porter to assist the site team and maintain the cleanliness, appearance, and overall condition of the property’s common areas, grounds, and vacant units. This role supports resident satisfaction by ensuring the community is well-presented, safe, and ready for occupancy.
Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain property common areas, including lobbies, hallways, stairwells, elevators, laundry rooms, restrooms, offices, and model units on a defined schedule.
- Clean vacant apartment units in preparation for marketing, showings, and occupancy.
- Ensure business offices and shared spaces are clean, organized, and professional in appearance.
- Maintain the overall exterior appearance of the property, including sidewalks, driveways, parking areas, dumpster enclosures, exterior hallways, and public spaces.
- Perform routine trash and debris removal throughout the community.
- Support seasonal upkeep, including snow removal and basic landscaping tasks as needed.
- Report maintenance issues, safety concerns, or hazards promptly to the Maintenance Supervisor or maintenance staff.
- Assist with inventory control of cleaning supplies and equipment.
- Support maintenance and operations teams with additional tasks as assigned.
- Follow all safety procedures and proper use of cleaning agents, tools, and equipment.
- Address resident questions or concerns in a friendly, professional manner.
- Maintain a high standard of customer service while working in resident-facing areas.
Requirements
- Knowledge of the safe use of cleaning agents and equipment.
- Ability to follow directions, manage tasks independently, and complete work on time.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety.
- Willingness to follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended or continuous periods.
- Ability to ascend and descend stairs, ladders, and step stools.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to operate standard office and cleaning equipment as needed.
