About the Role
As a Business Support Specialist, you will perform a variety of functions to support Raymond James’ Institutional Treasury Group, gaining hands-on experience with the operations side of a top-producing investment team. You will also support the Co-Heads of the division on key accounts and prospecting strategies.
Responsibilities
- Send clients purchase / wire confirmations
- Prepare and send clients monthly statements / reconciliations
- Account updates
- Perform financial analysis and data entry using existing Excel models
- Maintain prospect lists, ensuring key contacts and their information are updated
- Prepare RJ research reports for corporate clients & prospects
- Follow financial news for equity raises / debt issuances
- Answer telephones, route callers, take messages and provide routine information
- Coordinate meetings with internal staff and clients
- Assist in arranging internal and external zoom meetings, conference calls and select events
- Update, maintain and schedule appointments in team calendars
- Fix and improve Excel workbooks
- Assist with client service, account updates, and opening accounts
- Prepare/maintain marketing material
- Organize investment maturity time tables and send reminder emails to clients
- Improve template database (emails, proposals, Excel files, etc.)
- Provide ad hoc support on special projects
Requirements
- Leverage prior experience utilizing a highly organized approach to develop and maintain prospect lists of decision makers at medium and large Canadian corporations, universities, municipalities, etc.
- Provide support in the onboarding of new clients and account maintenance of existing clients.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented individual with a keen interest in working in a team environment.
- Proven ability to take initiative.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Post-secondary education and/or relevant industry designations.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a financial services administrative role.
- Excellent proficiency with MS Office software, including Excel.
- A positive, enthusiastic and energetic attitude.

Skills
- Advanced Excel, Word and Power Point knowledge
- Financial software knowledge (Factset and Bloomberg is an asset)
- Written and verbal communication in English
- Written and verbal communication in French is an asset
- Basic modeling using Excel
- Simple data analysis
- Strong attention to detail
- Passionate and highly motivated
- Logical, critical and quick thinking
- Ability to distill difficult concepts into easy-to-understand language

- $65,000 - 70,000 annually, in addition to competitive performance bonuses/incentives.
