About the Role
This role focuses on identifying and capturing cost savings within the supply base to improve EBITDA. The objective is to establish a sustainable sourcing function that maintains these gains.
Responsibilities
- Establish full spend baseline and category segmentation within the first month.
- Renegotiate vendor contracts across top spend categories.
- Diversify the supply base and implement dual-sourcing strategies.
- Develop raw material strategies, addressing tariff, freight, and commodity risks.
- Optimize inventory strategy, including right-sizing and positioning against demand variability.
- Implement demand and inventory forecasting tools, including AI-driven planning.
- Establish or improve sales and operations planning (S&OP) cadence.
- Implement supplier performance management and scorecarding.
Requirements
- 12+ years in supply chain, procurement, or integrated sourcing with director-level ownership.
- Demonstrated, verifiable savings capture with clear baseline, mechanism, and P&L landing.
- Category depth in direct materials relevant to industrial manufacturing.
- Experience establishing or repairing S&OP.
- Working knowledge of planning systems and forecasting tools.
- Technical fluency to evaluate vendor claims.
- Comfort renegotiating from a weak position.
