About the Role
This working coordinator role supports housekeeping and facility cleaning operations to ensure a safe, clean, and compliant manufacturing environment. The role coordinates day-to-day housekeeping activities, provides guidance and support to team members, and performs cleaning duties to maintain facility standards.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily housekeeping assignments and support the completion of routine cleaning tasks.
- Maintain cleaning records, logs, and documentation.
- Serve as a point of contact for housekeeping-related concerns, responding to requests, communicating priorities, and escalating issues.
- Maintain and update housekeeping documentation, cleaning schedules, logs, and other records.
- Assist with the coordination of housekeeping activities across production, warehouse, office, and common areas.
- Monitor and replenish housekeeping supplies, cleaning chemicals, PPE, and equipment.
- Run basic reports, complete required documentation, and assist in gathering data related to housekeeping performance, inspections, and cleaning activities.
- Support compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), sanitation requirements, and facility cleaning standards.
- Participate in and promote 5S, safety, housekeeping, and continuous improvement activities.
- Assist with the training and onboarding of new housekeeping team members.
- Perform housekeeping and sanitation duties, including providing coverage during employee absences, vacancies, and periods of increased workload.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- At least 6 months of housekeeping and training experience.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to bend, twist, reach, push, lift for extended periods daily.
- Frequently move, lift, carry supplies/equipment up to 50 lbs. and may have to occasionally lift up to 75 lbs.
- Must be able to stand for minimum of 8 hours and up to 12 hours for up to 6 days a week.
- Ability to continuously ascend and descend from ladders and stairs, work at heights and/or from a ladder, work from a lying down position, work with your hands above your head.
- Ability to work overtime.
- Must be available for on-call requests as needed.
