About the Role

Support the technical exploration of AI applications with a focus on feasibility. Quickly test technical possibilities, build prototypes, evaluate tools and architectures, and turn ideas into tangible demos or working solutions. The role is hands-on, experimental, and product-oriented, working on applied topics like LLMs, agentic systems, APIs, lightweight frontends, and technical integrations.

Responsibilities

  • Build and iterate on AI prototypes, demos, and proof-of-concept applications
  • Experiment with LLM-based applications, agentic workflows, prompt strategies, and orchestration patterns
  • Connect prototypes to APIs, data sources, and enterprise systems
  • Support lightweight frontend or app prototypes to make concepts tangible and testable
  • Run structured evaluations and benchmarks for models, tools, and technical approaches
  • Help with data preparation, prompt engineering, integration logic, and workflow design
  • Document prototype architectures, technical learnings, and implementation trade-offs

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a university program such as Computer Science, Data Science, AI Engineering, Software Engineering, Business Informatics, or a related field
  • First hands-on programming experience with Python and Git-based development workflows
  • Excited about building things, testing ideas quickly, and learning through experimentation
  • Strong curiosity for modern AI development topics such as LLMs, retrieval-augmented generation, agentic systems and tool use, and applied prototyping
  • Can work in a structured way and communicate technical findings clearly
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and iterating toward workable solutions
  • Fluent in English, German is a plus
