About the Role
Sodexo is seeking a General Kitchen Help to join their dynamic team. This casual role involves participating in food preparation and ensuring guest satisfaction through maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen environment.
Responsibilities
- Ensure guest satisfaction by maintaining all dishes, pots, pans, silverware, glasses, equipment, and kitchen utensils are cleaned and sanitized
- Maintains dishwashing station, three compartment sink and related areas cleaned
- Ensures equipment is clean and in working condition; reports any issues to management
- Performs other light maintenance and custodial tasks
- Maintains excellent customer service and positive attitude towards guest, customers, clients, co-workers, etc.
- Adheres to Sodexo safety policies and procedures including proper food safety and sanitation
- Ensures security of company assets
- Wash dishes, glasses and utensils by hand or with a dishwasher
- Maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen (floors, equipment and material)
- Empty garbage cans and transport the garbage to the appropriate containers
Requirements
- Experienced Dishwasher – Kitchen General Helper who enjoys working in a team environment
- Meeting food safety, HACCP and OHS standards
- Minimum of 1-year experience in a similar role
- Excellent customer service skills
- Teamwork
- Ability to operate tools and equipment
- Able to work under pressure
- Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures
