About the Role

Regional International - Buffalo/Cheektowaga is seeking an Inventory Control Specialist to manage and maintain accurate inventory records, supporting operations in Buffalo, NY. This role is ideal for detail-oriented individuals in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Perform scheduled cycle counts, monitor, and maintain accurate inventory levels through regular cycle counts and audits.
Identify and investigate inventory record discrepancies, implementing corrective actions.
Monitor receiving, stocking, picking, shipping, and inventory transaction processes for compliance.
Key and verify inventory updates.
Maintain accurate records.
Inspect incoming shipments to reject damaged items, log shortages, and collaborate with management to rectify damages and shortages.
Select optimal shipping methods, routes, and rates based on logistics procedures and pricing.
Audit incoming and outgoing shipments by verifying product details and quantities against invoices, orders, and bills of lading.

Requirements

Strong reading, problem-solving, and mathematical skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
Previous experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or a related field.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Proficiency with inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Forklift certification may be required.
Possesses a valid driver's license.
Proficient in operating computer systems, calculators, motor vehicles, and forklifts.
Skilled in utilizing mechanical tools including crimpers, pliers, wrenches, and tape measures.
