About the Role
The delivery driver is the main point of contact between The Butcher Shoppe and our customers. This role is responsible for organizing their route, loading their truck or van with product, and delivering the product to wholesale and individual customers.
Responsibilities
- Delivers high-quality products to customers in a safe, courteous, and timely manner.
- Establishes and maintains outstanding relations with customers.
- Reviews and verifies invoices and purchase requests to ensure accuracy.
- Inspects delivery vehicles and ensures the safety and security of the loading and unloading process.
- Contacts customers to confirm delivery details.
- Determines placement of merchandise, follows safety and lifting protocols during deliveries, and conducts safety reviews.
- Maintains delivery logs and records.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years in a delivery driving role.
- Valid G driver’s license and a clear driver’s abstract.
- Experience driving a straight truck is an asset.
