About the Role
The Manager, Brand Marketing is a maternity leave contract role accountable for leading the planning and execution of national brand marketing strategies and programs that build awareness, relevance, trust, and giving for Ronald McDonald House across Canada. This role stewards the Ronald McDonald House brand nationally, ensuring consistency and alignment with global standards, while driving compelling brand activation in support of strategic engagement pillars, revenue priorities, and the McDonald’s Canada partnership.
Responsibilities
- Partner with the Director, Brand Engagement to develop Ronald McDonald House Canada’s marketing and brand strategy.
- Lead national brand campaigns that build awareness, relevance, understanding, trust, and mission revenue.
- Develop campaign and program briefs and manage agency partners through creative development, approvals, and execution.
- Provide strategic direction across paid, earned, and owned channels, including digital, social, TV, radio, print, in-store, and experiential.
- Collaborate across the Integrated Brand Engagement team to ensure aligned, integrated, and effective execution.
- Advance bold, insight-led consumer and family ideas that elevate the brand and support fundraising and engagement at scale.
- Ensure clear, consistent brand communication across channels, touchpoints, and mass and priority audiences.
- Partner with Analytics, Insights, and the Director, Brand Engagement on measurement frameworks, research, KPI tracking, and performance insights.
- Oversee partnership marketing opportunities and provide senior strategic counsel to corporate donors in close collaboration with the National Partnerships Team.
- Serve as national brand steward, ensuring accurate, consistent, and approved application across national and Chapter executions.
- Lead brand compliance for Regional Chapters and align Ronald McDonald House Canada and all Canadian Chapters with current global standards, tools, and guidelines.
- Act as primary liaison with Global Brand partners, sharing evolving standards, assets, and best practices across Canada.
- Oversee monitoring and resolution of brand compliance issues across materials, campaigns, and partnerships.
- Guide Chapters on appropriate brand use while enabling local relevance and impact.
- Advocate for accurate, positive Canadian representation in the global brand ecosystem, reflecting Canadian programs, stories, and opportunities with a unified global voice.
- Partner closely with McDonald’s Canada to amplify key brand and fundraising programs.
- Provide strategic marketing leadership for national restaurant giving programs.
- Identify opportunities to strengthen brand visibility, participation, and storytelling across McDonald’s restaurants and channels.
- Build trusted stakeholder relationships that sustain alignment, momentum, and long-term partnership value.
- Serve as a key contact for McDonald’s programs requiring Ronald McDonald House brand integration and for other partnership inquiries.
- Support McDonald’s Canada brand trust and community impact objectives through aligned brand marketing strategies.
- Enable alignment across the Canadian Ronald McDonald House system by convening and facilitating marketing and communications forums with Chapters.
- Provide Chapters with strategic guidance on local marketing and brand applications, along with feedback, best practices, and direction that support local success and national consistency.
- Build strong cross-functional relationships with internal teams and external partners to support integrated brand planning and execution.
Requirements
- Proven marketing experience in a relevant role.
- Experience in agency, corporate, brand, and/or non-profit marketing is an asset.
- Strong understanding of integrated, multi-channel brand marketing and campaign development.
- Solid understanding of digital and media channels, with the ability to interpret performance insights and inform strategy.
- Demonstrated people management experience with a passion for developing high-performing teams.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders with clarity, tact, and influence.
- Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to collaborate across disciplines, teams, and senior stakeholders.
- Ability to interpret data, insights, and research to inform brand and marketing decisions.
- Highly organized with strong prioritization skills and the ability to manage multiple initiatives while maintaining attention to detail.
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment with multiple high-priority initiatives and partners.
