About the Role

Bell AI Fabric is building Canada's largest sovereign AI infrastructure platform. As Director, Strategic Finance & Corporate Development, you will be at the heart of critical investment, capital allocation, commercialization, and growth decisions, bringing financial rigor and execution discipline to the company's expansion. This is a hands-on, highly visible finance role offering exceptional scope and access. Working directly with senior leadership, the Bell AI Fabric Board of Directors, Bell Finance senior management, and business teams, you will lead business case development, financial modeling, capital planning, performance analysis, and financial support for major client opportunities, partnerships, and infrastructure projects. You will transform complex operational, commercial, tax, and accounting data into clear financial insights and decision-support materials. You will also manage and develop a Finance team member, set priorities, review work in detail, and enhance the quality, accuracy, and pace of the team's deliverables. This is a unique opportunity for a finance, consulting, investment banking, or corporate development professional looking to help build something significant and rapidly expand their responsibilities. You do not need to master every aspect of the business from day one. Responsibilities

Act as a trusted strategic financial partner to the leadership team, leading financial analysis underpinning Bell AI Fabric's priority investments, business opportunities, and growth initiatives.
Design, maintain, and drive integrated financial models, business cases, forecasts, sensitivity analyses, and decision-support tools linking customer demand, pricing, capacity, capital needs, operating costs, tax, accounting, and expected returns.
Drive monthly and quarterly capital allocation processes, evaluate competing requests, challenge assumptions, and recommend capital prioritization across projects and business opportunities.
Engage constructively with business stakeholders and exercise judgment to reconcile commercial ambition, financial discipline, operational realities, risk management, and timelines to guide the best overall financial decisions.
Support major business opportunities, partnerships, financing initiatives, and transactions with rigorous economic analysis, scenario modeling, due diligence, and management recommendations, while collaborating with the transaction lead for negotiation and structuring.
Collaborate closely with Tax, Accounting, Treasury, FP&A, Corporate Development, and project teams to ensure financial conclusions reflect appropriate corporate treatments, assumptions, controls, and requirements.
Translate financial priorities into operational work plans with clear deliverables, assigned owners, key milestones, dependencies, check-ins, and escalation paths, ensuring full execution of workstreams.
Define and optimize financial processes, governance, model controls, performance reporting, and decision-support capabilities as Bell AI Fabric scales.

Requirements

Typically 6 to 10 years of experience in strategic finance, corporate development, investment banking, management consulting, FP&A, project finance, accounting, or another environment developing comparable financial and execution capabilities.
Strong financial modeling skills, including building integrated models, business cases, forecasts, sensitivity, and scenario analyses supporting significant decisions.
Demonstrated ability to accurately review complex models and analyses, identify errors or unsupported assumptions, and improve the quality and clarity of underlying work.
Strong PowerPoint, executive communication, and financial storytelling skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts into clear, decision-support materials for Bell AI Fabric senior leadership and the Board.
Sound financial and business judgment, with the confidence to challenge stakeholders, test assumptions, and recommend a practical path forward.
Working knowledge of tax, accounting, and financial reporting considerations, and the ability to collaborate effectively with specialists.
Experience managing or developing others, setting clear expectations, thoughtfully reviewing work, and maintaining accountability without creating unnecessary hierarchy.
High work capacity and exceptional attention to detail, enabling rapid handling of multiple urgent priorities without compromising accuracy or quality.
Ability to work autonomously, navigate ambiguity, learn unfamiliar topics quickly, and invest additional effort during critical periods to arrive at a well-supported answer.
