About the Role
Aru Labs is seeking a Casting Director/Associate for an independent web-series project. The role involves discovering authentic and memorable talent globally for a character-driven story exploring startups, ambition, relationships, friendship, money, and life.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Director to understand characters and creative vision
- Develop casting requirements for main and supporting characters
- Source actors, models, creators, and fresh faces
- Conduct casting research across India and international markets
- Reach out to talent agencies, acting communities, creator networks, and independent talent
- Review profiles, reels, photographs, and previous work
- Organize auditions and self-tapes
- Coordinate auditions with the Director
- Maintain casting databases and talent shortlists
- Help arrange callbacks and chemistry reads
- Coordinate talent availability and travel requirements
- Assist with final casting decisions and offer coordination

- Experience in advertising casting

- Experience in acting/theatre communities
- Experience in creator and influencer talent discovery
- Experience with modeling agencies
- Experience in independent filmmaking
- A strong eye for people and talent discovery
- Ability to identify chemistry between performers
