About the Role
This role plays a key part in supporting Personal Insurance leadership by delivering business performance reporting, financial analysis, and actionable insights. The Specialist will prepare management reports, analyze trends, and support planning activities to enable informed decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and executive business performance reporting for Personal Insurance leadership.
- Analyze financial and operational results against plan, forecast, and prior periods to identify key drivers, risks, and opportunities.
- Develop clear business insights and performance commentary to support decision-making.
- Support Monthly and Quarterly Business Reviews, executive reporting packages, and ad hoc analysis requests.
- Contribute to annual planning, forecasting, budgeting, and financial modelling activities.
- Develop and maintain performance models, scorecards, KPIs, and reporting tools to measure business results.
- Enhance reporting processes through automation, dashboard development, data governance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Partner with Finance, business leaders, and stakeholders to deliver performance insights, recommendations, and strategic business support.
Requirements
- University degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- CPA designation (completed or in progress) is considered an asset.
- 3-5 years of experience in business performance reporting, financial analysis, planning and forecasting, FP&A, or management reporting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a demonstrated ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience with business intelligence and reporting tools is an asset.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of the P&C insurance industry is considered an asset.
- Successful clearance of background checks (including criminal checks and leadership references).
