About the Role

Perform a variety of administrative and clinical tasks to help provide care to patients, support physicians and keep office operations running smoothly.

Responsibilities

  • Collect basic patient intake and vitals
  • Perform necessary point of care testing
  • Document all patient visits and communication in EMR properly
  • Handles refills/ referrals/ authorizations
  • Maintain exam room cleanliness prior to each patient appointment
  • Stock medical supplies in each exam room per physician preference
  • Schedule patient appointments
  • Perform necessary cleaning duties maintaining an orderly work environment
  • Regular & prompt attendance on agreed upon daily and weekly start and end time.
  • Ethical conduct, confidentiality, and collaboration with the healthcare team are expected and considered essential elements of this position
  • Can maintain physical demands and work environment as listed below

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • CPR Certification
  • Knowledge of EMR software
  • This job will require exposure to patient elements.
  • This role routinely uses standard office equipment.
  • The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • May work in a noisy or distracting environment.
  • If requested by any patient, then staff is required to wear a surgical mask.
  • Patients are strongly encouraged to wear a mask if they are experiencing any acute respiratory symptoms or have a fever.
  • Employees who are not flu-vaccinated will be required to wear a mask in all patient facing areas from September 1 to March 1st unless dates are modified due to clinical factors (unusual epidemic patterns, etc).
