About the Role

Join the LMA’s Marketing and Communications team to write and deliver communications across various channels, including email, social media, website, events, and campaigns. This broad, hands-on role offers exposure to senior stakeholders and project ownership opportunities, allowing for skill and experience development within the Lloyd's market.

Responsibilities

  • Write, edit, and proofread bulletins, newsletters, event invitations, press releases, articles, thought leadership reports, and campaign content, adhering to the LMA writing style guide and sign-off processes.
  • Deliver email marketing using the member CRM and email marketing platform.
  • Create the LinkedIn content calendar.
  • Maintain and update website content in collaboration with colleagues and the website agency.
  • Plan and coordinate communications for reports, events, and campaigns, managing contributors, content, and approvals through to delivery.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, members, and external agencies on media activity and speaker opportunities.
  • Support podcasts and video content by coordinating contributors and production activities.
  • Monitor engagement across email, social media, and the website, contributing to quarterly reporting and using findings to improve communications.
  • Take ownership of projects, identify communications opportunities, and advise colleagues on maximizing member engagement.

Requirements

  • Strong written English demonstrated through relevant work, study, or qualifications.
  • Strong copywriting and proofreading skills, with the ability to adapt content for different audiences and apply a writing style guide.
  • Relevant hands-on marketing or communications experience across written content, email marketing, and social media.
  • Experience using a CRM or email marketing platform; experience with comparable systems is transferable.
  • Basic design skills using Canva or an equivalent tool.
  • Ability to coordinate campaigns, contributors, and approvals, manage deadlines, and interpret engagement data.
  • Insurance, financial services, or membership organization experience is desirable.
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms, WordPress, and Google Analytics is desirable.
  • Experience supporting press activity, events, podcasts, or video content is desirable.
  • Convey information clearly and professionally, adapting style for different audiences.
  • Build effective relationships with colleagues, members, and senior stakeholders.
  • Translate complex information into clear, engaging content.
  • Work effectively with colleagues, members, and external agencies to achieve shared objectives.
  • Build constructive relationships, share ideas, and contribute positively to team outcomes.
  • Take ownership of work, follow through on commitments, and deliver accurate, high-quality outputs.
  • Organize competing priorities effectively, apply agreed processes, and demonstrate exceptional attention to detail.
  • Build trusted relationships across the organization and the Lloyd's market.
  • Work confidently with stakeholders at different levels, identifying opportunities and influencing outcomes through effective communication and professional engagement.
  • Learn quickly, respond positively to feedback, and remain effective when priorities change.
