About the Role
BrightStar Care of Austin is seeking a compassionate and skilled Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide in-home patient care, helping individuals regain independence and thrive.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Implement therapeutic interventions to improve patients' functional independence in daily living activities.
- Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting plans of care as needed.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams, patients, and families to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care.
- Educate patients and caregivers on therapeutic techniques and home safety strategies.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with agency and regulatory standards.
Requirements
- Current, valid Texas Occupational Therapist (OT) license.
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
- Current CPR/BLS certification.
- Minimum one (1) year of clinical experience preferred; home health experience a plus.
- Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills.
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license.
