About the Role
Bob Johnson Cadillac is seeking an experienced General Motors Flat-Rate Technician who takes pride in quality work and thrives in a team-oriented culture. Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair GM vehicles according to manufacturer procedures.
- Perform maintenance, electrical, drivability, mechanical, and warranty repairs.
- Complete accurate inspections and technician videos.
- Document findings and repairs clearly.
- Maintain productivity while protecting repair quality.
- Communicate effectively with advisors, parts, dispatch, and fellow technicians.
- Help prevent comebacks by taking ownership of every repair.
- Support teammates and contribute to a clean, safe, and professional shop.
- Treat every customer’s vehicle with care and respect.
Requirements
- At least two years of experience as a General Motors flat-rate technician.
- Experience diagnosing and repairing Chevrolet, Buick, GMC, or Cadillac vehicles.
- A strong commitment to quality, accuracy, and completing repairs correctly.
- A positive attitude and the ability to work well within a team.
- NYS INSPECTORS LICENSE REQUIRED

Experience Level
- Experienced General Motors Automotive Technician
- At least two years of GM flat-rate technician experience
Education Level
- GM certifications are valuable but not required.
- ASE certifications are valuable but not required.
- Completed GM assessments are valuable but not required.
Salary/Compensations
- $65,000.00 - $13,000.00 Salary/year
- $5,000 Annual Bonus
- Competitive flat-rate pay based on experience and qualifications
- Pay rate discussed during the interview
