About the Role
This role sits between customer needs and engineering requirements, defining what to build next, in what order, and what to decline. Success is measured by the standardization of project work and the speed at which customer problems become product capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Decide what to build next, in which order, and what to decline.
- Define the roadmap and the line between product and customer project.
- Define how product works: discovery, prioritization, and standards between product and engineering.
- Present roadmap and reasoning to the board.
- Participate in core strategy conversations.
- Work directly with plant managers and controllers.
- Engage with customers in the first week.
- Make scope and trade-offs explicit with the team.
Requirements
- 5+ years in product management or consulting with genuine product proximity.
- Owned a product area end to end, not just a backlog.
- Possess a technical and analytical foundation (engineering, data, operations research, quantitative controlling, or finance with real modeling).
- Recognize when a requirement creates technical debt or will not be reusable.
- Experience deciding under incomplete information and explaining trade-offs.
- Comfortable working directly with plant managers and controllers.
- German at C1 level or above.
- Fluent English.
- Existing work visa for Germany.
- Enjoy being in front of customers.
- Willingness to decide without a research team.
