About the Role
Lifesharing is a service that supports individuals with intellectual disabilities to live with qualified adults who provide support in their home. Lifesharing homes are licensed and inspected to ensure the health and welfare of the individuals being served. Lifesharing offers individuals the opportunity to be part of a family and to participate in community life, serving as a natural and less restrictive alternative to residential group homes.
Responsibilities
- Provide daily support to individuals with intellectual disabilities in a home environment.
- Assist individuals in scheduling annual physicals and biannual dental appointments.
- Maintain any other necessary appointments for the individual.
- Keep and maintain a medication log if the individual is not independent in taking medications.
- Complete and document a fire drill every 6 months.
- Complete a daily note for every day of the month.
Requirements
- CPR and First Aid certification required, with renewal every other year.
- All household members require a physical and TB test prior to move-in.
- TB test required every other year.
- All individuals in the home over 17 years of age require a background clearance.
- Focus will complete background clearance before move-in and as required by the program.

- Monthly tax-free stipend averaging $2600-$3300, dependent upon the individual.
