About the Role
Oversee all aspects of hotel cleaning operations, including guest rooms and common areas, ensuring they meet or exceed hotel, brand, and company standards.
Responsibilities
- Ensure departmental procedures are followed for all brand programs and execute all programs to achieve and exceed goals.
- Ensure Room Attendants/Housekeepers clean and prepare guest rooms to Springwood Hospitality and Brand Standards.
- Assist the laundry department by retrieving soiled linen, sorting laundry, utilizing industrial washers, dryers and pressers, folding and distributing cleaned linen.
- Recruit and select associates that fit the exact needs of the hotel.
- Provide training and proper orientation for all associates, new and ongoing.
- Schedule staff per operating guidelines as outlined by company standards.
- Monitor labor forecast and make scheduling adjustments to meet required parameters.
- Develop, motivate, and orient all Housekeeping associates, providing ongoing direction to deliver excellent guest service.
- Ensure associates have the necessary tools and supplies to be successful.
- Conduct departmental meetings at least monthly.
- Conduct performance appraisals in a timely manner.
- Follow all job safety policies, and report any incidents and/or hazards to your direct supervisor.
- Participate in the budget process and operate within budgeted guidelines while maintaining quality.
- Provide operational support to other departments in relation to housekeeping.
- Handle guest concerns, compliments, and suggestions in a professional manner.
- Secure and maintain custody of equipment, keys, and supplies at all times to protect and preserve hotel property.
- Maintain a friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor at all times.
- Perform other duties as assigned, requested, or deemed necessary by management.
- Provide assistance to other Associates and departments to contribute to the best overall performance of the department and hotel.
