About the Role
The Associate is a key member of the Introba management team, responsible for leading Project Design Teams and ensuring effective project execution. This role involves managing staff, providing technical support, and driving quality and client satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Provide the Management Team with staff performance criteria and information on all design staff.
- Meet regularly with all team members to identify issues and implement action plans.
- Provide workload forecasting for new projects and progress analysis for prospective projects.
- Update Introba accounting system information for the Marketing Team.
- Recommend distribution of new work based on staff availability and team workload requirements.
- Represent Introba at meetings with project clients and stakeholders.
- Act as a company representative at association meetings and liaise with government officials.
- Train staff in all phases of the design process to ensure continuity.
- Utilize leadership and motivation techniques to maximize employee productivity and satisfaction.
- Implement programs to improve service quality, minimize costs, and enhance the company's competitive position.
- Instill the concept of quality as a responsibility for every design team member and promote quality control.
- Utilize company quality assurance and control programs.
- Assure adequate field review services to ensure adherence to contract documents.
- Conduct studies to identify and remedy deviations from desired standards.
Requirements
- 6+ years of specific HVAC, plumbing and fire protection design experience.
- 5-10 years of experience in mechanical site inspections, field review reports, and attendance at site meetings.
- Familiarity with the BC Building Code and BC Building By-law is essential.
- Minimum 5 years project management experience in consulting engineering.
- Superior interpersonal skills with clients and staff.
- Communication and Coaching skills.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities.
- Professional Engineer (CEng, PEng or equivalent), Applied Science Technologist (AScT) designation, or eligibility to apply.
- LEED Accreditation an asset.
