About the Role
Join the DevSecOps & Cloud Engineering group to design and implement the Next Gen platform and reusable component library. Collaborate with product owners and solution architects to develop solutions, participate in planning and refinement meetings, and iteratively develop capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Bring the vision of developing reusable components for DevSecOps and cloud.
- Deliver end-to-end automation and security controls.
- Deliver measurable OKRs for the group.
- Keep tooling and processes up-to-date with evolving needs.
- Work closely with development and product teams to understand bottlenecks and mentor them on operational ownership.
- Improve internal tooling (instrumentation, dashboards, deployment automation) and infrastructural availability of production services.
- Implement and maintain system configurations and baselines to support secure application development software control best practices and standards.
- Provide high-availability operational support and automated solutions across the environment.
- Implement deep telemetry capabilities for ongoing success and performance metrics.
Requirements
- Experience implementing DevSecOps and automation capabilities.
- 6+ years of delivery experience.
- Understanding of the full set of DevSecOps capabilities.
- Experience in cloud automation and zero touch deployments.
- Post-Secondary degree or diploma in Engineering, Programming/Systems, Computer Science, or other related discipline.
- Eligibility to work for Interac Corp. in Canada in a Full Time Capacity.
- Ability to explain complex problems in simple language to non-technical people.
- Strong communication skills, including technical writing.
- Process driven, strong documentation and organizational skills.
- Focused problem solver, strong troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
- Strong sense of personal responsibility and accountability for delivering high quality work.
- Good platform reliability engineering skills to ensure the platform is kept running 24/7.
- Successful candidates will be required to complete background checks, which may include Canadian Criminal Credit Check, Canadian ID Cross-Check, Public Safety Verification, 5-year Employment Verification, Education Verification, Credit Check, and Social Media Check.

- Pipeline development for Java, Springboot, and Javascript.
- Bash, Python, working with RESTful APIs.
- Creating Ansible, Terraform playbooks.
- DevOps tooling and implementation.
- Docker or other similar container technologies.
- Container Orchestration tools such as Openshift or Kubernetes.
- Cloud technologies such as Azure or AWS.
- Event streaming technologies such as Kafka or Messaging Technologies such as JMS.
- Software defined routers such as Envoy or Nginx.
- Software design patterns.
