About the Role

As a Commercial and/or Domestic Loss Adjuster, you’ll manage property claims ranging from minor damage to catastrophic events within your assigned region. This home-based role requires regular regional travel and occasional overnight stays.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively handle and settle a mixed caseload of property claims up to £100k.
  • Investigate claims with tact and a calm manner, establishing facts and policy details to work towards a resolution.
  • Manage and develop client relationships through SLA and KPI delivery.
  • Engage in proactive client and broker interaction for efficient claims handling and business development.
  • Liaise with colleagues in different business areas (Casualty, Major & Complex Loss, Contractor Connections, Legal) as needed.
  • Collate and record necessary statements and information thoroughly.
  • Remove process hurdles, identify root causes of issues, and take responsibility for problem resolution.
  • Ensure swift settlement of claims by collating all necessary details.

Requirements

  • Previous Loss Adjusting or complex high value Claims Handling experience is essential.
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of FCA procedures and TCF initiatives.
  • Extensive knowledge of the insurance market.
  • Extensive technical knowledge within the adjusting arena.
  • Understanding of Client SLA compliance, productivity, and quality requirements.
  • Proven proficient working knowledge of scoping software and hand-held device use.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Good negotiation skills.
  • Ability to understand customer needs and prioritize them.
  • Good IT skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Flexibility in travelling.
