About the Role

Tarte is seeking a Retail Operations Coordinator to manage the day-to-day operations for key retail accounts, ensuring forecasts are translated into timely, compliant deliveries and maintaining account growth and profitability. The ideal candidate has experience in the beauty or consumer goods industry, or from a retail perspective, and understands how supply chain decisions impact product availability on shelves. This role requires a proactive individual who can adapt quickly to changing priorities and improve processes.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the complete lifecycle of sales orders, from forecast to delivery, including OTS, EDI, and order entry.
  • Act as the operational liaison for retail accounts, providing product information, inventory status, and fulfillment plans tailored to each retailer's specific requirements.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Planning teams to synchronize supply and channel allocation for product launches, seasonal collections, and promotional periods.
  • Monitor account performance metrics such as fill rate, on-time delivery, and compliance, proactively identifying and addressing potential risks and opportunities.
  • Deliver regular updates on order status to Sales, Customers, and Management.
  • Engage with international field teams and regional managers to gather insights on customer preferences, market competition, and local challenges.
  • Coordinate with international retail partners for shipment scheduling and ensure timely delivery, while working with Global Logistics & Regulatory teams to finalize all necessary documentation.
  • Ensure adherence to contractual obligations through problem-solving and analytical skills, troubleshooting orders, and escalating issues appropriately.
  • Research and resolve claims, returns, and chargebacks efficiently by collaborating with relevant departments.
  • Identify and implement process improvements within order management and fulfillment.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of experience in retail operations, wholesale operations, sales operations, or supply chain within a brand or retail environment; beauty, cosmetics, or consumer goods experience is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of retail order management systems, EDI, allocation processes, and retailer compliance standards.
  • Experience utilizing Microsoft Navision or a similar ERP system.
  • Proficiency in Excel and strong data analysis skills, including the ability to interpret data and take action.
  • Clear and confident communication skills for interacting with retailers and internal stakeholders at all levels.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, coupled with a strong sense of urgency and accountability.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.
