  • Partner with Property, Retail, Facilities, and other business stakeholders to develop project briefs and translate business requirements into deliverable solutions.
  • Take ownership of project budgets, programmes, risks, and governance.
  • Lead and coordinate consultants, contractors, and specialist suppliers, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and high performance.
  • Drive commercial excellence through effective procurement, contract management, change control, and cost management processes.
  • Prepare robust business cases and secure appropriate approvals for capital investment decisions.
  • Ensure all statutory approvals, regulatory requirements, and health and safety obligations are met.
  • Build strong relationships with landlords, local authorities, consultants, and third parties.
  • Provide clear and meaningful project reporting for informed decision-making and risk management.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, balancing customer, colleague, operational, and commercial considerations.
  • Continuously identify opportunities to improve project delivery, construction standards, and estate performance.

Requirements

  • Proven experience delivering retail fit-out, refurbishment, and construction programmes within a multi-site environment.
  • Strong project and programme management experience across the full project lifecycle.
  • Experience managing complex stakeholder groups and influencing decisions at all levels.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience managing project budgets, contracts, procurement, and change control.
  • Thorough understanding of construction legislation, regulatory compliance, health and safety, and risk management principles.
  • Experience leading external consultants, contractors, and multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on delivery and practical problem-solving.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate complex information clearly and confidently.
  • Proactive and collaborative approach with the confidence to challenge, innovate, and continuously improve.
