About the Role
Lightspeed Express, Powered by DHL, is seeking Foot Couriers to enhance patient care through timely and secure deliveries. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in dynamic environments and possess a strong sense of responsibility.
Responsibilities
- Collect packages, documents, or parcels from designated locations and deliver them to specified addresses, adhering strictly to dispatcher instructions and company protocols.
- Consistently meet or exceed expected delivery times, managing routes efficiently using navigation systems for real-time updates.
- Maintain clear, professional, and prompt communication with dispatchers regarding assignments, delivery status, and any obstacles encountered.
- Represent the delivery service with courtesy and professionalism when interacting with customers, providing signature verification and answering questions.
- Accurately complete all required paperwork or digital records for each delivery, including logging times and obtaining signatures.
- Handle packages with care and store them securely during transit, following safety guidelines for all items.
- Maintain assigned equipment in good condition and report any mechanical issues.
- Arrive on time for shifts and complete deliveries within the assigned window.
- Accurately read and interpret delivery instructions, confirming addresses, package contents, and recipient details.
- Utilize GPS devices, mapping applications, or traditional maps to navigate efficiently and avoid delays.
- Maintain physical stamina for extended periods of walking, riding, or driving, and for handling packages of various sizes and weights.
- Conduct oneself appropriately at all times, respecting customer privacy and property.
- Adapt quickly to traffic disruptions, adverse weather, or delivery complications and communicate with dispatchers for resolution.
- Demonstrate trustworthiness when handling valuable or confidential shipments.
Requirements
- Must be punctual and reliable, consistently arriving on time for shifts and completing deliveries within the assigned window.
- Requires accurate reading and interpretation of delivery instructions.
- Proficiency with GPS devices, mapping applications, or traditional maps is required.
- Must possess physical stamina for extended periods of walking, riding, or driving, and handling packages of various sizes and weights.
- Must conduct oneself professionally at all times, respecting customer privacy and property.
- Must be able to adapt quickly to delivery complications and communicate with dispatchers for resolution.
