About the Role

CGRS seeks a highly motivated individual to serve as its in-house creative lead and events manager. This role will manage creative, events, and People & Culture activities supporting organizational goals and community engagement. The position requires strong graphic design skills, hands-on event production experience, excellent project-management and organizational skills, and a commitment to refugee rights.

Responsibilities

  • Manage CGRS’s visual communications, producing materials for fundraising appeals, event collateral, annual reports, social media, and advocacy campaigns across web and print
  • Develop and maintain organization-wide brand and style guidelines
  • Build and maintain reusable design templates
  • Manage CGRS’s digital asset library
  • Produce short-form video or motion graphics content for social media and event promotion
  • Manage the planning and logistics for fundraising events, coordinating vendors, volunteers, and timelines
  • Support event budgets and vendor contracts
  • Design and produce all event collateral
  • Manage event registration platforms, guest lists, and attendee communications
  • Recruit, brief, and coordinate event-day volunteers and staff assignments
  • Support CGRS Development Manager on donor cultivation touchpoints
  • Plan and execute wellness programming for CGRS staff
  • Organize events ranging from trainings with mental health experts to morale-boosting team activities
  • Coordinate CGRS diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives
  • Manage staff-wide communications related to People & Culture and events
  • Provide administrative and project support to CGRS Deputy Director

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • At least five years of non-profit work experience
  • Valid work authorization in The U.S.
  • Excellent visual communication skills and experience using established branding and organizational voice with demonstrated portfolio of work for nonprofits
  • Ability to collaborate with programmatic staff to transform substantive content into visual designs
  • Experience organizing small- to large-scale fundraising events with demonstrated ability to establish priorities, negotiate with vendors, research venues, and liaising with law school departments and facilities as needed
  • A multi-tasker with the ability to work under pressure and manage concurrent deadlines
  • Effective organization, time, and project management skills with a nimbleness to shift between projects as needs evolve
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders
