About the Role
The Lead Aide assists the EVS Supervisor with direct leadership and guidance of the housekeeping staff as assigned, completes routine housekeeping duties, and ensures a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients, visitors, and employees.
Responsibilities
- Assists the EVS Supervisor with direct leadership and guidance of the housekeeping staff.
- Completes routine housekeeping duties as required.
- Ensures that the Medical Center is provided with a clean, safe and comfortable environment for patients, visitors and employees.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or General Education (GED) or equivalent education/experience.
- Three (3) years experience in environmental services in a health care facility is desirable.
- Minimum one (1) year experience in a position of Group Leader.
- Employees of Sutter Health and its entities may handle hazardous drugs in the course of their work, including patient care, which requires them to manage, store, prepare, receive, unpack, transport, dispose of, or administer drugs identified as hazardous or potentially hazardous by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) and in accordance with the USP 800 guidelines.
