About the Role
The Department of Biology at Barnard College seeks a full-time Lecturer specializing in Cell and Molecular Biology, starting July 2027. This reviewed and renewable position involves a teaching load of 6 courses per year, including introductory and upper-level lecture and laboratory sections. Responsibilities
- Teach lecture and laboratory sections of Introduction to Cell and Molecular Biology.
- Teach upper-level lecture and laboratory courses in microbiology and/or biochemistry.
- Participate fully in the life of the department and college, including advising, mentoring, service, and leadership.
Requirements
- A Ph.D. is required.
- Prior experience or demonstrated commitment to teaching and mentoring diverse students is desirable.
