About the Role

Inspired Education is seeking a Maths Teacher for a 1-year maternity cover contract at King's InterHigh, an online school dedicated to student success. The role involves delivering engaging online Maths lessons to students aged 7-18, from KS3 to KS5.

Responsibilities

  • Inspire, motivate, and provide purposeful subject knowledge for students.
  • Stay updated on current research and emerging pedagogy, disseminating knowledge to staff.
  • Maintain a positive and inspirational learning climate within the subject specialism.
  • Support the school's self-evaluation and development priorities.
  • Assist in maintaining and developing a high-quality school environment and profile.
  • Act as a role model through professional conduct.
  • Promote the general progress and well-being of individual students and groups.
  • Provide guidance and advice to students on educational matters.
  • Contribute to assessments, reports, and references for students in a timely manner.
  • Participate in meetings and staff CPD opportunities.
  • Undertake other work as specified by their line manager.

Requirements

  • Expertise and experience in delivering Maths from KS3 to KS5.
  • Experience from either a state school and/or independent school background.
  • Passion for ensuring students are at the center of learning.
  • Experience with deadlines.
  • Experience in creating effective learning resources.
  • Key focus on academic monitoring and progress of students.
  • Excellent subject knowledge and experience teaching at Key Stage 5 (A Level or IB DP).
  • Knowledge of best ways to engage students in the subject.
  • Capability to drive best practices and deliver high-quality material.
  • Ability to work well within a team and raise new ideas.
  • Keen interest in the online teaching and learning environment.
  • Passion for the learning and development of students.
  • Flexible, highly energetic approach.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-changing, collaborative, delivery culture.
  • Considerable interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to form good relationships both internally and externally.
  • Ability to work independently where necessary.
  • Ambition to place King's Interhigh offering at the forefront of the marketplace.
