About the Role
Inspired Education is seeking a Maths Teacher for King's InterHigh, a flexible and inclusive online school. This role involves providing excellent online educational experiences for students aged 7-18, delivering Maths from KS3 to KS5. The successful candidate will be passionate about student-centered learning, experienced in creating resources, and focused on academic monitoring and progress. This position is part of the Maths team, working under the Head of Faculty and Heads of Subject, with a focus on sharing best practices and contributing to the school's Education Strategy.
Responsibilities
- Inspire, motivate, and provide purposeful subject knowledge for students.
- Stay updated on current research and emerging pedagogy, disseminating knowledge to staff.
- Lead in maintaining a positive and inspirational learning climate within the subject specialism.
- Support the self-evaluation of the school's effectiveness and contribute to improvement priorities.
- Assist in maintaining and developing a high-quality school environment and profile.
- Act as a role model through professional conduct and disposition.
- Promote the general progress and well-being of individual students and groups.
- Provide guidance and advice to students on educational matters.
- Contribute to assessments, reports, and references for students in a timely manner.
- Participate in meetings and staff CPD opportunities.
- Undertake any other work specified by their line manager.
Requirements
- Expertise and experience in delivering Maths from KS3 to KS5.
- Experience from either a state school and/or independent school background.
- Experience of creating effective learning resources.
- Key focus on the academic monitoring and progress of students.
- Excellent subject knowledge and experience teaching at Key Stage 5 (A Level or IB DP).
- Knowledge of best ways to engage students in the subject.
- Capability to drive best practices and deliver high-quality material.
- Ability to work well within a team and raise new ideas.
- Ability to support the implementation of new ideas within the department.
- A keen interest in the online teaching and learning environment.
- Passion for the learning and development of students.
- A flexible, highly energetic approach.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-changing, collaborative, delivery culture.
- Considerable interpersonal communication skills.
