About the Role
Apple is seeking a professional to join their team in Austin to focus on transactional fraud risking. This role involves generating business intelligence solutions, mitigating fraud risks, and enhancing Apple Wallet products through data-driven insights and cross-functional collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Utilize Python, Pandas, and NumPy to generate and enhance business intelligence solutions for fraud risking.
- Apply big data analytics best practices using PySpark, SQL, Git, and Airflow.
- Create visualizations using Tableau, Matplotlib, and Superset to report fraud impact analysis.
- Design experiments and analytical processes to detect fraud prevention opportunities.
- Mitigate fraud risks while balancing customer experience, business objectives, and operational efficiency.
- Evaluate and improve risking for identity verification and authentication within Apple Wallet.
- Present technical impact analyses to non-technical partners and leadership.
- Provide actionable insights and decision support to internal and external partners.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Mathematics, Business Analytics, Data Science, or a related field.
- 2 years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
- Experience using Python for large-scale analyses and risk assessments.
- Experience creating interactive dashboards and reports using Tableau, Power BI, Superset, or Matplotlib.
- Ability to conduct deep dives using statistical analysis to generate actionable insights.
- Experience with data stores such as Apache Iceberg, Snowflake, or Hadoop.
- Proficiency in SQL and distributed analytics engines like PySpark for complex queries and transformations.
- Experience communicating complex analyses to executive leadership and technical audiences.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including engineering, finance, and business.
- Knowledge of identity authentication methods and industry identity standards.
