About the Role
The Culinary Associate provides exceptional customer service, ensuring a welcoming and positive shopping experience. This role involves maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and cleanliness within the department.
Responsibilities
- Create a welcoming environment for customers.
- Answer customer questions about products and make suggestions.
- Inform customers about ingredients in recipes.
- Provide customers with fresh products in the correct portion size.
- Check product quality to ensure freshness.
- Label, stock, and manage department merchandise inventory.
- Display a positive attitude.
- Understand store layout and product locations.
- Monitor inventory levels and note discrepancies.
- Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines.
- Ensure proper temperatures in cases and coolers.
- Comply with safety procedures and identify unsafe conditions.
- Notify management of customer or employee accidents.
- Report safety risks, illegal activity, robbery, theft, or fraud to management.
- Ensure garbage cans have tightly closed lids and change gloves after disposal.
Requirements
- Ability to deliver friendly, courteous, and prompt customer service.
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to read, write, and perform simple math.
- Ability to interpret, understand, and follow instructions.
- Ability to solve problems.
- Able to work well with others as a team member.
