About the Role
Seeking a Temporary Legal Recruiting Assistant for the New York office to support law student recruitment and the Summer Associate program. The role requires prioritizing and managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, with excellent written, organizational, and communication skills. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, able to work independently and collaboratively.
Responsibilities
- Assist with on-campus interviews (OCI), including registrations, interviewer identification, materials preparation, and event planning.
- Track follow-up with candidates and lawyers.
- Assist with all aspects of the summer associate program, including onboarding, orientation, and event planning.
- Arrange event logistics such as transportation, invitations, RSVP tracking, and nametag creation.
- Serve as a summer program contact for specific practice groups, maintaining evaluation files and coordinating assignments.
- Schedule callback interviews for summer associate candidates and distribute schedules.
- Greet and escort candidates to interviews.
- Generate offer letters and decline emails.
- Assist with on-campus outreach to student organizations and schedule mock interviews for 1L students.
- Assist with the preparation of reports and materials for Recruiting Committee meetings.
- Process and track expense vouchers and invoices.
- Review and organize the recruiting department email inbox.
- Enter resumes into viRecruit and generate follow-up correspondence.
- Assist with lateral application interview scheduling and viRecruit updates.
- Enter schedules for candidates into FloRecruit.
- Order and maintain giveaways for students and lawyers.
- Provide administrative support, including arranging conference rooms and catering, and general filing.
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
- 1-2 years of related experience preferred.
- Experience in a fast-paced law firm or professional services environment preferred.
- Computer skills in Word required.
- Knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, FloRecruit, and LawCruit/viRecruit is a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to be a strong team-player.
- Superior organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks with competing tight deadlines.
- High energy level and professional demeanor.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
