About the Role

The Data Science and Data Management team is responsible for the entire data processing pipeline, from data collection to the creation of digital products. As part of the team, you will work on the complete data-driven value chain and contribute to the continuous development of our data-driven product portfolio.

Responsibilities

  • Shape all aspects of data storage throughout project work, from requirements analysis and specification to implementation, rollout, and operation.
  • Define and ensure the fulfillment of requirements for databases and data processing procedures.
  • Design and develop databases for secure, efficient, and economical data storage.
  • Collaborate with IT Operations on the development and enhancement of the company's data infrastructure and architecture.

Requirements

  • Completed degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a comparable field, or equivalent qualification (e.g., vocational training with professional experience).
  • In-depth knowledge of data management, basic knowledge of software development, and initial experience in database architecture.
  • Experience in modeling and implementing relational (e.g., MySQL, MS SQL) and NoSQL (e.g., Mongo DB) databases, and in database migration.
  • Experience in developing data pipelines (ETL/ELT) and associated workflows.
  • Good knowledge of one or more programming languages (SQL, Python, Java, R, or similar).
  • Ability to question processes and thought patterns within the team.
  • Native-level German language skills and fluent English are required for project work.
