About the Role
The Culinary Associate is responsible for providing an exceptional customer experience through outstanding service, maintaining a safe and clean environment, and ensuring quality assurance standards for all buffet offerings.
Responsibilities
- Create a welcoming environment for customers by answering questions about products.
- Gain and maintain product knowledge to respond to customer inquiries and make suggestions.
- Inform customers about ingredients in recipes.
- Provide customers with fresh, accurately portioned products.
- Check product quality to ensure freshness.
- Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise.
- Display a positive attitude.
- Understand store layout to assist customers in locating products.
- Maintain awareness of inventory and stocking conditions, noting discrepancies.
- Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines.
- Ensure proper temperatures in cases and coolers are maintained.
- Reinforce safety programs by complying with procedures and identifying unsafe conditions.
- Notify management of customer or employee accidents.
- Report safety risks, issues, and illegal activity to store management.
Requirements
- Ability to deliver friendly, courteous, prompt customer service.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to read, write, and perform simple math problems.
- Ability to interpret, understand, and follow instructions and solve problems.
- Able to work well with others as a team member.
