About the Role
Join Transport for NSW's Information Access team and play a key role in supporting transparency and good government. You will manage decisions about the release of government information across TfNSW's diverse functions, projects, and strategic initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Provide specialist advisory services in response to complex and significant access applications, statutory notices, contract disclosures, and privacy matters.
- Support the agency in meeting its legislative and compliance obligations under the Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009, Privacy and Personal Information Protection Act 1998, and the Health Records and Information Privacy Act 2002.
Requirements
- Organised, analytical, and skilled information access or legal professional.
- Extensive experience in, or ability to quickly acquire, excellent knowledge of information legislation and privacy legislation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate, educate, and influence stakeholders at different levels.
- Excellent problem-solving, research, and analytical skills.
- Experience in the interpretation and application of legislation.
- Ability to make appropriate recommendations within a busy, high-performing team.
